When I first started creating birdbaths, I experimented with various reuse materials: old light fixtures, terracotta plant saucers, anything that would lend its form to a birdbath. But nothing seemed quite right.

One day, at one of my favorite salvage yards, I spotted a discarded satellite dish -- the perfect shape and depth for a birdbath. Hence, the Satellite Dish Birdbath was born!
